An AI t-shirt design generator that ends in a shirt, not a JPEG.

Plenty of tools will generate a picture of a t-shirt design. The Crayonz studio generates the design at print size, cuts the background, puts it on the actual garment in the colour you pick, and lets you order that garment — or publish it and let other people order it. Type a sentence to start.

What “print-ready” means here

A design that looks fine on a phone screen is 1,000 pixels wide. A front print on a tee needs several times that or it prints soft at the edges. Most image generators stop at the screen; the studio finishes the job: the artwork is upscaled to the placement’s print dimensions, the background is removed so the design sits directly on the fabric, and the result is checked against the printable area of the garment you chose so nothing lands under a seam or off the edge.

The mockup you see is the product photo of that garment in that colour with your file composited onto it, not an illustration. When you switch from a black tee to off-white, the studio re-renders the design for the new base — a light design on a light shirt gets flagged so you can invert it before you order.

Prompts that work

Short, concrete, and about the artwork — not the shirt. Say what the picture is, how many colours, and the style. Let the studio handle the garment.

Things that go wrong: asking for “a t-shirt with…” (you get a drawing of a shirt on the shirt), long sentences of text (keep words to a line or two), and famous characters or brands (not allowed by the creator agreement).

From the generator to your door

  1. Generate. One sentence, one to four designs, about a minute.
  2. Refine. Ask for changes in words, or drag, scale and recolour on the garment yourself. Add text or upload your logo on top.
  3. Choose the garment. Classic tee from ₹699, oversized from ₹999, hoodie from ₹1,399 — the same design moves between them.
  4. Order or publish. Buy one piece, printed after payment and delivered in about 3 days within India. Or publish it as a listing: it is printed only when someone buys, and you keep the margin above wholesale.

Questions

Is the AI t-shirt design generator free?
Generating designs in the studio is free to try without an account. You pay only if you order a printed garment (from ₹699) or publish a design to sell.
What resolution are the designs?
Designs are generated and then upscaled to print size for the placement you choose — a full front print is produced at the pixel dimensions the printer needs, not at screen size. The background is removed automatically so the artwork sits on the fabric, not in a box.
Can I edit the design after it is generated?
Yes. Move and scale it on the garment, switch the tee colour, add text or your own logo, or ask the studio for a change in plain words — "make the text bigger", "same design in blue" — and it regenerates.
Do I own the design? Can I sell it?
You can order it, or publish it as a listing on the Crayonz marketplace where it is printed only when someone buys. Creators keep everything above the wholesale floor. The creator agreement covers what you may not upload — trademarks and other people’s artwork in particular.
Which garments can the design go on?
T-shirts, oversized tees, acid wash tees, hoodies, zip-up hoodies, polos, sweatshirts and varsity jackets, plus mugs, bottles and posters. The same design can be placed on several garments in one session.
What does it not do well?
Exact reproductions of a specific photo, tiny legible text in a large scene, and famous logos (which the agreement does not allow). Typography works best when you ask for the words explicitly and keep them short.
